Abstract
A fuel injection pump for an internal combustion engine comprising a cylinder defining a pump working space, a plunger displaceable in the cylinder, and a bypass valve for bypassing fuel from the pump working space; and a method of controlling flow of fuel from the fuel injection pump to the internal combustion engine by controling the time interval between opening and closing of the bypass valve in accordance with load parameters of the internal combustion engine.
