Abstract

A recording fluid for the ink jet process contains a water-miscible organic solvent and a dye of the formula ##STR1## where m is 0 or 1, PA0 D.sup.1 and D.sup.2 are each independently of the other the radical of a diazocomponent of the aniline series, PA0 R.sup.1 is hydrogen or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl and PA0 R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 are each independently of the other a radical having an external basic group.
