Abstract

A combination product containing (A) on the one hand a xanthine derivative of the formula ##STR1## in which one of the radicals R.sup.1 and R.sup.3 represents a straight-chain alkyl, .omega.-1)-oxoalkyl or (.omega.-1)-hydroxyalkyl group having 3 to 8 carbon atoms, and the two other radicals R.sup.2 and R.sup.3, or R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 represent straight-chain or branched alkyl groups having 1 to 8 carbon atoms in the position of R.sup.1 and R.sup.3 and 1 to 4 carbon atoms in the position of R.sup.2, the maximum total of carbon atoms in these two alkyl substituents being 10, or of the formula ##STR2## in which R represents an alkyl radical having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, or prodrug forms of the oxoalkylxanthines of the formula I and II or of the hydroxylalkylxanthine of the formula I, or its metabolites, and PA0 (B) on the other hand O-acetylsalicylic acid or its pharmacologically tolerated salts, PA0 (C) with or without a pharamaceutical vehicle, for sequential administration in the treatment of diseases caused or characterized by impaired constituents of blood, in particular platelets or erythrocytes, but also leukocytes, in such a manner that component (A) is released first, and its u…
