Abstract

The invention provides polymeric compounds resulting from the condensation of a primary amine having one phenolic group in its molecule with a copolymer of carboxylic acid functions. The copolymer is formed by copolymerization of an unsaturated monocarboxylic acid with at least one derivative of such a acid or by grafting of an unsaturated acid on a hydrocarbon polymer. These compounds can be especially used as multifunctional additives to lubricants.
