Abstract

Inhibiting HMG-CoA reductase, as in treating hyperlipopproteinaemia, lipoproteinaemia and arteriosclerosis, with the new N-substituted N-amino-pyrroles of the formula ##STR1## in which R.sup.1 is an organic radical, PA0 R.sup.2 is an aryl or heteroaryl radical, PA0 R.sup.3 is a hydrogen or an organic radical, PA0 R.sup.4 and R.sup.5 each independently is hydrogen or an organic radical or, together, they complete a heterocylic ring, PA0 X is --CH.sub.2 --CH.sub.2 -- or --CH.dbd.CH--, PA0 A is ##STR2## R.sup.10 is hydrogen or alkyl, and R.sup.11 is hydrogen, an organic radical or a cation.
