Abstract
A digital signal processing device for processing signals in the audio-frequency band with using a digital input-output interface circuit, analog input-output interfaces as well as digital signal processing circuit for converting digital signals to analog signals and vice versa. A memory is used for storing various programs for processing MODEM functions, voice-coding/synthesizing and the like in the digital signal processor selectively employs either one of the MODEM function processing programs and the voice coding/synthesizing function program, both of which are stored in the memory in accordance with an external command.
