Abstract

A substantially non-carcinogenic light lubricant and a process for its production. The process comprises the step of blending an effective amount of a substantially non-tumorigenic vacuum distilled hydrocarbon oil of luricating viscosity with a tumorigenic atmospheric distilled light hydrocarbon oil, the tumorigenic light hydrocarbon oil having an initial boiling point of at least 250.degree. F., wherein the resultant blend is substantially non-carcinogenic and of lubricating viscosity.
