Abstract
A subsea wireline lubricator comprises in sequence (a) a stuffing box, (b) at least one blow-out preventer, (c) a riser, (d) a foot valve and (e) a connector for connection to a subsea well head assembly. The lubricator permits wireline access to subsea oil wells without the need for a conventional tensioned riser.
