Abstract

Lipophilic quaternary ammonium salicylate, characterized in that it corresponds to the formula: ##STR1## in which: (i) R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3 and R.sub.4, which may be identical or different, denote an alkyl or alkylcycloalkyl radical, optionally substituted or interrupted; PA0 (ii) R.sub.3 and/or R.sub.4 denote(s) a group: EQU R.sub.8 [OC.sub.2 H.sub.3 R.sub.7 ].sub.n [OCH.sub.2 CHOH--CH.sub.2 ].sub.p PA0 in which 0.ltoreq.n.ltoreq.4 and p denotes 0 or 1; R.sub.8 denotes H or an alkyl, alkenyl, alkylcycloalkyl or alkylaryl radical; PA0 (iii) R.sub.4 denotes an alkylphenyl radical; PA0 (iv), (v) R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 can form a saturated or unsaturated aromatic or non-aromatic heterocycle; PA0 (vi) R.sub.1, R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 form polycyclic derivatives with the nitrogen atoms; R.sub.5 denotes a group corresponding to the formula: ##STR2## in which n is an integer varying between 0 and 10.
