Abstract

Ortho-substituted phenol ethers of the general formula I ##STR1## where R.sup.1 is C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkylthio or amino which is unsubstituted or mono- or disubstituted by C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, PA0 R.sup.2 is C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, PA0 R.sup.3 is aryloxy, arylthio or arylalkoxy, the aromatic ring being unsubstituted or substituted by one or more of the following radicals: halogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkoxy, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkylthio, C.sub.1 -C.sub.2 -haloalkyl, aryl, aryl-C.sub.1 -C.sub.2 -alkoxy, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkylcarbonyl, mono- or di-C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkylsubstituted amino, cyano, nitro, PA0 X is CH or N, and PA0 Y is saturated or unsaturated C.sub.2 -C.sub.12 -alkylene, and fungicides containing these compounds.
