Abstract

A method for processing a silver halide color photographic material is disclosed, comprising after development, bleaching or bleach-fixing an imagewise exposed silver halide color photographic material in the presence of at least one compound represented by formula (I): ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 and R.sup.2, which may be the same or different, each represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group, or R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 may combine with each other to form a heterocyclic ring; A.sup.1 and A.sup.2, which may be the same or different, each represents an alkylene group having from 2 to 5 carbon atoms which may be substituted; and n represents an integer from 2 to 6. In accordance with the method of the present invention, as a result of accelerated bleaching function, the processing time is shortened while sufficient bleaching is performed, thus providing color photographic images of excellent image quality.
