Compounds of the formula I, their stereoisomers or their salts ##STR1## wherein A denotes >C(R.sup.4).sub.2 or >C.dbd.C(R.sup.5).sub.2 ; R.sup.1 denotes H, an optionally substituted aliphatic or cycloaliphatic radical, forfuryl, tetrahydrofurfuryl or (substituted) phenyl; R.sup.2 denotes H, alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl or alkoxy; R.sup.3 denotes a radical of the formulae ##STR2## X denotes O, S or NR.sup.12 and Y denotes O or S, possess excellent herbicidal and plant-growth regulating properties.
