Abstract
A storage-stable, non carcinogenic reagent for peroxidase detection useful in the diagnosis of AIDS and other diseases which comprises an aqueous solution of hydrogen peroxide and a chromogen therefor. Chromogens uniquely suitable for the purpose are: PA1 5 amino-indole PA1 7 amino-indole PA1 5 amino-benzimidazole PA1 7 amino-benzimidazole PA1 5 amino-benzothiazole PA1 7 amino-benzothiazole PA1 5 amino-benzoxazole PA1 7 amino-benzoxazole PA1 5 amino-indazole PA1 7 amino-indazole
