Abstract
A functional fluid comprising: PA0 1) a base fluid selected from one or more of PA1 i) a phosphate fluid and PA1 ii) a carboxylic acid ester; and PA0 b) as a hydrolytic stabilizer, at least one compound of the formula I EQU A-NHC(=X)NHZ (1) wherein A is C.sub.3 -C.sub.18 alkenyl, C.sub.6 -C.sub.10 aryl or C.sub.7 -C.sub.13 alkaryl; X is oxygen; and Z is hydrogen.
