Abstract

Disclosed is a novel oxazolidine compound containing a titanium atom or a silicon atom. The ozazolidine compound is represented by the following formula [I]; ##STR1## wherein R represents a hydrogen atom, a C.sub.1 -C.sub.10 alkyl, an aryl group, a vinyl group, a C.sub.1 -C.sub.10 halogen substituted alkyl group or a C.sub.1 -C.sub.10 alkoxy group, M represents a silicon atom or a titanium atom, R.sup.1 represents a C.sub.2 -C.sub.5 alkylene group, R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 respectively represent a hydrogen atom, a C.sub.1 -C.sub.10 alkyl group or an aryl group, R.sup.4 represents a hydrogen atom or a methyl group and n is an integer of 0 to 3.
