There are described new phenylacetic acid derivatives of general formula I ##STR1## in which R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3, R.sub.4, R.sub.5 and R.sub.6 have the meanings given in the description, processes for their preparation and insecticidal and acaricidal compositions containing these compounds.
