Abstract
A monophosphorylated L-dopa ester of formula ##STR1## (wherein the asterisk, R, R.sub.1, R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 have the meanings shown in the description), PA1 salts thereof with pharmaceutically acceptable acids or bases, a process for the preparation thereof and a pharmaceutical composition containing said compound or a salt thereof are described. The compound of formula I and the salts thereof are useful in the treatment of Parkinson's disease, renal failure, heart failure and hypertension.
