Abstract
A silver halide photographic material is disclosed, comprising a hydrophilic layer containing a dye dispersed in a solid particle form therein on at least one side of a support and at least one silver halide emulsion layer, wherein the coating weight of hydrophilic colloid in said layer containing a dye dispersed in a solid particle form therein is from 0.05 to 0.5 g/m.sup.2 and the total coating weight of hydrophilic colloid on each side of said support is from 0.5 to 3 g/m.sup.2.
