Abstract
The present invention provides an aqueous coating composition comprising: PA0 a) an aqueous electrodepositable film-forming binder; and PA0 b) as corrosion inhibitor, an effective amount of the reaction product of i) cinnamaldehyde and ii) an amine having the formula R--(CH.sub.2).sub.n --NH.sub.2 wherein R is C.sub.1 -C.sub.12 alkyl, C.sub.6 -C.sub.10 aryl, C.sub.5 -C.sub.8 cycloalkyl or --NH.sub.2, and n is O or an integer within the range of from 1 to 10.
