Abstract

Compounds of general formula I ##STR1## wherein X.sub.1 is chloro or bromo, PA1 X.sub.2 is chloro, bromo or hydrogen, and PA1 Y is O or S, and PA1 R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are each independently of the other C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl, and PA1 R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 is a group of formula II ##STR2## which carries identical or different substituents and wherein R.sub.1, R.sub.2, X.sub.1 and X.sub.2 are as defined above, or R.sub.3 and R.sub.4, when taken together, form a group of formula III ##STR3## wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are as defined above, are very suitable flame retardants for polymers.
