Abstract

Acrylic and methacrylic esters of substituted 1,2-bis(phenoxy)-3,3,4,4,5,5-hexafluoro-1-cyclopentenes of the formula ##STR1## in which, in each case independently of one another, R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 denote C.sub.1 -to C.sub.4 -alkyl, C.sub.1 - to C.sub.4 -halogenoalkyl or hydrogen, PA1 R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 denote (n+1)- or (m+1)-valent, straight-chain or branched hydrocarbon radicals having 2 to 15 carbon atoms, which may optionally contain 1 to 3 oxygen bridges, PA1 R.sup.5 and R.sup.6 denote hydrogen or methyl, PA1 X represents ##STR2## and n and m denote integers from 1 to 5 The ester can be polymerized to form dental fillings, coatings and artificial teeth.
