Abstract

The invention relates to a wound secretion absorbing hydrogel of the following composition: PA1 a) 20 to 70%-wt of at least one multivalent alcohol PA1 b) 10 to 35%-wt of at least one natural thickener (biopolymer) PA1 c) 0.05 to 12%-wt of at least one uncross-linked copolymer of one or more vinylcarboxylic acids and their salts (synthetic polymer) PA1 d) 0.05 to 10%-wt of a cross-linking agent PA1 e) 0 to 50%-wt of water or physiological saline as well as to the use of this hydrogel as wound dressing.
