Abstract
The invention relates to the use of crosslinked polymer microparticles having an average particle size of at most 5 .mu.m and a glass transition temperature (Tg) of at least +30.degree. C. in aqueous paint preparations as filler and/or as partial substitute of white pigments, in particular of titanium dioxide. Among other things, the corresponding paints show increased spreading power, less tendency for sedimentation and reduced crater formation.
