Abstract

An improved erosion resistant coating for a gas path component of a turbo machine which comprises the thermal spraying of a chromium carbide, such as Cr.sub.3 C.sub.2, and an age hardenable nickel base alloy, such as Inconel 718, onto the gas path component and then, preferably, heat treating the deposited coating to harden the coating.
