Abstract

An unsaturated, elastomeric, asymmetrically coupled block copolymer of the formula: EQU (A--B).sub.n --X--(B).sub.m, wherein block A is a block of polybutadiene having an 8 to 60% content of uniformly distributed vinyl groups and block B is a homopolymer of isoprene or a copolymer of at leat 10% isoprene units with 0 to 60% butadiene units and up to 45% styrene units and X is a radical of a coupling agent, and (m-n).gtoreq.0 while (m+n) ranges from 3 to 25.
