Abstract
A photoconductive device employs an organic film between a pair of electrodes where the organic film is a polymer having a carbazole skeleton and an imide linkage in a repeating unit of the general formula: ##STR1## where R.sup.1 denotes a tetravalent organic group having 5 to 13 carbons.
