Abstract
Compounds of formula I are described, ##STR1## wherein: R.sub.1 and R.sub.2, that can be the same or different, are hydrogen or acyl groups; PA1 R.sub.3 and R.sub.4, that can be the same or different, are hydrogen or optionally substituted alkyl groups. The compounds of formula I are prepared by oxydation of the compounds of formula II: ##STR2## wherein the groups R'.sub.1, R'.sub.2, R'.sub.3 and R'.sub.4 have the same meanings as R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 or groups convertible to the latter. The compounds of formula I have remarkable antitumor activity.
