Abstract
Process for the production of 5-fluoro-6-chlorooxindole, (III), which is useful in the synthesis of certain analgesic and antiinflammatory agents, via two different synthetic pathways. Compounds of formula (I) and (II) shown below ##STR1## which are intermediates in the process of this invention.
