Abstract

The invention relates to new fluoromethylated polycyanobenzenes of the formula ##STR1## in which X represents hydrogen, fluorine or chlorine, PA0 m is 1 or 2 and PA0 n is (6-m), to a process for their preparation and to the salt-like alkali metal cyanide adducts of the fluoromethylated polycyanobenzenes formed as intermediates in this preparation process and to the use of the fluoromethylated polycyanobenzenes for the detection of anions.
