Abstract

The invention relates to the use of 2,5-substituted 1,3,4-thiadiazoles of the formula ##STR1## in which R.sup.1 stands for straight-chain or branched halogenoalkyl, PA1 R.sup.2 stands for straight-chain or branched alkyl and PA1 n stands for the numbers 1 or 2, as microbicides for protecting industrial materials.
