Abstract
A water-soluble complexing agent of metallic cations having a high complexing power and a high threshhold effect, constituted from acrylic copolymers, characterized by the fact that said agent is formed by terpolymers comprising acrylic and methacrylic and itaconic units of the general formula: ##STR1## in which the indices, expressed in percent by weight have at least a value of 10 for x and y, and a value of 5 for z.
