Abstract

Disclosed is a class of bis(phenolic-amine)quinone compounds which are useful as stablizers for polyolefins. The bis(phenolic-amine)quinone compounds inhibit oxidative degradation of polyolefins which is attributable to heat and/or ultraviolet light and is promoted or accelerated by metals, e.g., copper, in contact with the polyolefin. The compounds also exhibit excellent thermal stability.
