Abstract

A solid-state voltage storage cell is provided which includes a pair of electrodes and a silver-ion conductive solid electrolyte layer disposed therebetween, wherein each of the electrodes is composed of a composition comprising a silver-ion conductive solid electrolyte, a compound oxide of the formula Ag.sub.x V.sub.2 O.sub.5 (0.6.ltoreq.x.ltoreq.0.8) as an electrode active material, and an electron conductive material which is electrochemically inactive with the compound oxide.
