Abstract

Herbicidal 5H-furan-2-one derivatives of the formula ##STR1## in which X represents the radical OR.sup.1 or the radical ##STR2## q represents the number 0 or 1, R.sup.2 is optionally substituted aryl, and PA1 R.sup.3 and R.sup.6 are hydrogen or various organic radicals, with certain provisos and exceptions.
