Abstract
Provided is an ink containing a recording agent and a liquid medium for dissolution or dispersion thereof, said ink comprising, as the recording agent, a compound represented by the general formula (A) ##STR1## where n is 0 or 1; R.sub.1, R.sub.2, and R.sub.3 are respectively a substituent selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, methyl, methoxy, hydroxy, amino, acetylamino, and sulfonic acid; and M is an alkali metal, ammonium, or an organic ammonium.
