Abstract

The invention relates to a catalyst and a catalytic process for the aromatization of hydrocarbons containing 2 to 4 carbon atoms per molecule. The catalyst contains a MFI zeolite and an amorphous matrix containing at least one noble metal from the platinum family, at least one additional metal chosen from tin, germanium, lead and indium and at least one alkali metal or alkaline earth metal.
