Abstract
Cephem compounds of the following formula are disclosed: ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 is amino or protected amino group. R.sup.2 is H or an organic group, PA0 R.sup.3 is H or an organic group, PA0 R.sup.4 is H, lower alkyl, carboxy, protected carboxy, amino, protected amino or carbamoyl, Z=N or CH. The compounds are useful as antimicrobial agents.
