Abstract
A thermosensitive recording material is composed of a support, an undercoat layer formed on the support, which is essentially composed of spherical-void plastic particles having an average particle diameter of 2 to 20 .mu.m and a voidage of 80% or more, and a thermosensitive coloring layer formed on the undercoat layer, which contains a leuco dye and a color developer capable of inducing color formation in the leuco dye upon application of heat thereto.
