Abstract

The invention relates to new phenylethanolamines of general formula ##STR1## wherein A represents a straight-chained or branched alkylene group, PA0 B represents a bond, an alkylene group, a carbonyl or hydroxymethylene group, PA0 R.sub.1 represents a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom or a trifluoromethyl group, PA0 R.sub.2 represents a hydrogen atom or an amino group, PA0 R.sub.3 represents a cyano group, a hydrogen, chlorine or bromine atom and PA0 R.sub.4 represents a hydrogen or halogen atom, an alkyl, hydroxy, alkoxy, carboxy, alkoxycarbonyl, aminocarbonyl, alkylaminocarbonyl or dialkylaminocarbonyl group or an alkoxy group substituted in the end position by a carboxy, alkoxycarbonyl, aminocarbonyl, alkylaminocarbonyl, dialkylaminocarbonyl, hydroxy, alkoxy, amino, alkylamino, dialkylamino, pyrrolidino, piperidino or hexamethyleneimino group, PA0 the optical isomers and diastereoisomers and acid addition salts thereof.
