Abstract
Food is contained in a container made from packing materials with an oxygen permeability of 200 ml/m.sup.2. 24Hr.multidot.atm, an oxygen absorber which has a microwave-proof layer with film thickness of 5-20 .mu.m on at least one side and also air-permeable packing material on at least one side, whose surface with the air-permeable packing meterial is permeable to air with a water vapor permeability of 10-3,000 g/m.sup.2. 24Hr.multidot.atm. The oxygen absorber packet is fixed in said container. Under these conditions, it becomes possible to perform both heat treatment and microwave treatment of the food contained therein.
