Abstract
A machine dishwashing composition containing a peroxygen compund as the bleaching agent and having improved bleaching action combined with excellent starch removing properties is disclosed. The compositioncontains a dinuclear manganese complex having the general formula. ##STR1## As defined in the description, as bleach catalyst and starch removing additive, in an amount corresponding to a Mn-content of from 0.0001 to about 1.0% by weight. A preferred Mn-complex is: PA0 [(Mn-TACN)Mn.sup.IV (.mu.-O).sub.3 Mn.sup.IV (Me-TACN)].sup.2+ (PF.sub.6.sup.-).sub.2 Best results are obtained when amylolytic is present in the composition.
