Abstract
The invention relates to the compounds of formula (I): ##STR1## in which R represents higher alkyl, 1-(higher alkyl)lower cycloalkyl-1-yl or higher alkenyl comprising one or more double bonds, and either PA1 R.sub.3 represents hydroxyl, PA1 R.sub.1 and R.sub.2, which are different, represent hydrogen or lower alkyl, PA1 R.sub.4 and R.sub.5, which are identical or different, represent lower alkyl or alkoxy, or PA1 R.sub.1 and R.sub.4 represent hydroxyl and PA1 R.sub.2, R.sub.3 and R.sub.5, which are identical or different, represent lower alkyl or alkoxy, their isomers as well as their salts, and a method for treating an animal or human living body afflicted with dylipidemias or atherosclerosis.
