Abstract
The present invention is drawn to an amber glass composition comprising, in weight percent, about: PA0 70-79% silicon dioxide, PA0 2.0-3.0% aluminum oxide, PA0 3.8-4.4% sodium oxide, PA0 0.1-1.0% potassium oxide, PA0 13.5-14.5% boron oxide, PA0 4.9-7.3% manganese dioxide, and PA0 0.2-0.9% iron oxide, and having a glass colorant system selected from iron-manganese and iron-titania.
