Abstract

The present invention provides a polypropylene film having high transparency and heat-sealability and superior in the balance between stiffness (tensile modulus) and impact resistance which polypropylene film comprises a) 80-99.5% by weight of a propylene polymer and b) 0.5-20% by weight of an ethylene/.alpha.-olefin copolymer prepared by the copolymerization of ethylene and an .alpha.-olefin having a 3 to 12 carbon atoms, said ethylene/.alpha.-olefin copolymer satisfying the following conditions (i) to (iii): PA0 (i) a density of 0.860 to 0.910 g/cm.sup.3 ; PA0 (ii) a maximum peak temperature of not lower than 100.degree. C. as measured by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC); and PA0 (iii) an insolubles content in boiling n-hexane of not lower than 10% by weight.
