Abstract

The invention relates to new substituted .alpha.-pyrimidinyloxy(thio)- and .alpha.-triazinyloxy(thio)carboxylic acid derivatives of general formula I ##STR1## in which A, R.sup.1-3, X and Y have the meanings given in the description, processes for their preparation and their use as herbicides, fungicides and plant growth regulants.
