Abstract

A pigment comprising leaf-like substrates particles having a particle size of 0.5 to 100 .mu.m, whereby the surface of said particles is covered with a metal oxide comprising titanium oxide and zirconium oxide in a molar ratio of 10:1 to 10:15 within a range of from 20 wt. % to 60 wt. % based on the total weight of the pigment possesses good adhesion and spreadability and has an effect of preventing ultraviolet rays and infrared rays.
