Abstract
A golf ball having excellent impact resilience and good flying performance comprises a core and a cover for covering the core, wherein the cover contains an ionomer resin as a main material and the ionomer resin has the first peak at 85.degree. to 95.degree. C. and the second peak at 70.degree. to 80.degree. C. in its crystal melting behavior attended with the measurement by a differential scanning calorimeter. A process for producing the above golf ball is also disclosed.
