Abstract
A process for producing a crack-free coating of pyrolytic boron nitride on a carbon structure in which the coating is formed in a controlled atmosphere containing vapors of ammonia and gaseous boron halide within a temperature range of between 1500.degree. C. to 1700.degree. C.
