The invention relates to new 3-substituted cephalosporins, to a process for their preparation and to their use as medicaments, in particular as medicaments having antibacterial activity. The invention relates to compounds of the general formula (I) ##STR1## in which X, Y, R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 have the meaning indicated in the description.
