Abstract
The invention relates to azo dyes of the formula ##STR1## in which R, R.sub.1 and R.sub.2, independently of one another, are hydrogen, substituted or unsubstituted C.sub.1 -C.sub.8 alkyl or phenyl, R.sub.3 is hydrogen or substituted or unsubstituted C.sub.1 -C.sub.8 alkyl, C.sub.5 -C.sub.7 cycloalkyl or phenyl and the benzene rings I and II may be further substituted. The azo dyes are suitable for the dyeing or printing of natural or synthetic polyamide fibre materials, in particular in combination with other dyes and in particular from short liquors. The azo dyes are distinguished by generally good properties, in particular good affinity.
